Naturally leavened loaves, croissants laminated by hand, and coffee you’ll want a second cup of. On Court Street since 2014.
The country sourdough: 36 hours, four ingredients.
Our story
Maya and Tom Reyes opened Carroll & Crumb in a former shoe-repair shop with one deck oven and a lot of optimism. Ten years later the oven is bigger, the line on Saturday is longer, and we still start the first dough at 3am.
We bake with flour from a mill in upstate New York, butter from a dairy in Vermont, and no shortcuts in between. What doesn’t sell by close goes to the Court Street food pantry the same evening.
